VITAMIN C
COLLAGEN BOOSTING
Whether you take an over-the-counter tablet or have been used to drinking fresh orange juice every day as a child, we've been giving our bodies Vitamin C in one form or the other. However, your skin needs a little extra. Vitamin C is an anti-oxidant that boosts collagen production in the skin, increasing its elasticity and making your skin look glowy and youthful. It has anti-inflammatory properties and also helps to even out your skin tone and minimise sun damage, not as much as your SPF though - don't ignore your SPF.
Use a few drops all over your face in the morning before your moisturiser and SPF.
HYALURONIC ACID
HYDRATING
Hi-yal-you-ron-ic. Say it slow. Say it fast. Say it fast three times. One of the best products in the market for plump, dewy, healthy skin - Hyaluronic acid has very quickly become a part of a large majority's skincare routine. It binds itself to collagen in the skin and creates a barrier to retain water on one side to make the skin look and feel hydrated. A very important product for those in dry and harsh climates to help protect and hydrate the skin better.
Best used after Vitamin C in the morning - although give your skin a few minutes to absorb the Vitamin C before going in with the Hyaluronic acid to avoid pilling.
RETINOL
ANTI-AGEING
A product of Vitamin A, Retinol is used in serums and creams for its anti-ageing properties. It encourages skin-renewal and prevents the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.
Best used as part of your night-time skincare routine. If you use Vitamin C and Retinol in your routine, use the Vitamin C in the morning and Retinol at night - never together.
